Best Skin Care Tips for Summer

Summer ushers in harsh rays and dry heat that tend to wreck havoc on our skin. A little negligence could find a constellation of blemishes, rashes, dryness and bad tans looking back in the mirror.

Lucky for us, summer also brings a great variety of juicy fruits and veggies to combat the heat with. Here are some pointers to say goodbye to damaged skin this season.

Moisture & Moisturisers
Don’t forget to drink plenty of good ol’ H2O to keep your skin fresh during the rising mercury. Though the suggested dose is 8 glasses a day, there’s no such thing as too much water. Also, remember to carry a trusty sunscreen along (SPF 15 or higher) to keep your skin safe from those nasty UV rays. Reapply and Rehydrate regularly.

Facials & Face Masks
Facials are essential during the summers as it not only deep cleans but also exfoliates the top layer of dry skin. Opt for Fruit Facials to keep your skin hydrated and avoid hot facial steams as they may dry out your skin. Try using a high concentration of essential oils that will help to stimulate circulation in your skin and open your pores.

Juice it
Fruits with high water content like watermelon, lemon, papaya and tomato are great ways to make hydration tastier. Add some bell peppers, cucumbers and carrots to your diet as each of these have over 90% water content. Swap high sugar based juices for cranberry juice this season and treat your skin to a healthier time.

Sleep Tight
Make best use of the time the sun’s away and spend your nights catching up on sleep. 8 hours of stress free time is the best way to say bye-bye to wrinkles and sags. Wake up to a cool shower instead of a hot water bath which is very harsh on the skin and find yourself energized and glowing the rest of the day.
